Meet The Mets' 2015 First Round Draft Pick: Michael Cuddyer

Just a gentle reminder that the Mets gave up their first round pick in last night’s draft to sign Michael Cuddyer to a 2-year, $21 million contract.  Here is a very brief scouting report on Cuddyer:

1. Is old enough to be the father of every player that was picked in the 1st round.

2. Was originally drafted 18 years ago by the Twins.

3. Is deaf in one ear

4. Has an absolute cannon for an arm

5. Is great friends with Mets team captain David Wright.  The same David Wright that is either the most injury prone or unluckiest baseball player on the planet.

And with the 15th pick, the Milwaukee Brewers selected:

I can’t wait to go to Trent Clark’s Hall of Fame induction in Cooperstown in 20 years or so.  Trents in the midwest never fail.
